Navy Keeps Next Generation Fighter Research Costs Classified For Third Consecutive Budget Cycle
Events at the Air and Water Show are held along and over Lake Michigan from Bradford Beach to McKinley Beach, just north of downtown Milwaukee.
Admission to the air show is free. But to get closer to the action, there are several unique seating options along McKinley Park, just south of McKinley Beach. Tickets for the Centerpoint area near McKinley Beach are $10.50 to $36.75 per day. Seats in the Sunday Flight Line area start at just $15.75, and Sky-Chalet VIP seats range from $36.75 to $183.75. Tickets are available on the airshow website at mkeairwatershow.com and will be available at the box office at the event grounds starting July 22.
According to the airshow website, reserved lakefront parking for the event is already sold out. But Rogers pointed out that Milwaukee County Parks Meadows should have parking from McKinley Marina south to Veterans Park. Venues open at 7:30am both days. There is also parking in the O'Donnell Park structure across from the Milwaukee Art Museum and street parking in surrounding neighborhoods. In addition, Rogers said there are handicapped parking spaces designated by the Sheriff's Department along Lincoln Memorial Drive.
The Milwaukee Air & Water Show goes on regardless of the weather, but if certain weather conditions are present, such as dangerous wave conditions or low visibility, some acts may pull the plug. (The latter forced the cancellation of some operations in 2019 and caused the Thunderbirds to scale back their performance in 2018.)
