ncgs assault on a female

Ncgs Assault On A Female - Sexual violence is difficult to measure, and no single data source provides a complete picture of crime. On the website, we have tried to select the most reliable source of statistics for each topic. The primary data source we use is the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS), an annual survey conducted by the Department of Justice. To conduct the NCVS, researchers interview tens of thousands of Americans each year to learn about the crimes they have experienced. Based on these interviews, the study provides a total number of crimes, including those not reported to the police. Although the NCVS has several limitations (notably, children under 12 are not included), overall, it is the most reliable source of crime statistics in the U.S.

We also rely on other Department of Justice studies, as well as data from the Department of Health and Human Services and other government and academic sources. In compiling these numbers, we have kept the common terms used by the authors. Statistics are provided for educational purposes only. Each figure includes a footnote citation to the original source, where you can find information on the methodology and terminology.

Don't internalize the abuse, because that makes it look like the abuse is happening again. Adams, the attorney for a 26-year-old woman who was strip-searched during her arrest in Raleigh, North Carolina, is accused of sexually abusing the young woman.

The drive's attorney, Karen Griffin, told NBC affiliate WRAL that it crossed the line into sexual assault. The woman, who was attacked and was not seen by NBC News, was searched at the time of her September 25 arrest.

Body camera footage released by Griffin shows Officer K.E. Von Altheus unbuttoned the driver's jacket, patting her breasts and visibly shaking, before slipping into his shorts. Altheus asks the woman to turn her legs, and runs his hand between them.

"The officer touched my client in every way that a normal person, especially a woman, would not want to be touched," Griffin said.

Raleigh Police Chief Cassandra Deck-Brown defended the officer at a press conference Wednesday, where she called Griffin's claims "outrageous, false and irrelevant." He said Altheus did his due diligence and did what he was trained to do.

"That officer was very good at everything he did," Deck-Brown said. He was not supposed to speak on his behalf.

The chief says the lawyer's words underestimate the experience of victims of sexual abuse, as well as the safety of officers who should be searching suspects for their safety. Deck-Brown also said she is asking for the full video to be released.

"Because I think you see what I see," Deck-Brown said. "And that officer was completely competent in everything he did. He treated this man with dignity and respect."

Deck-Brown said officers can detain heterosexual suspects without a search. He said the driver probably requested another officer, but a DWI arrest takes time.
